Appointment Bookings
Appointments may require advance scheduling. Appointment availability is not guaranteed until confirmed. Certain services may require pre-screening, documentation review, laboratory approval, agency approval, sponsorship, or additional verification before service can be provided.
Payment Terms
Payment may be required before service is provided. Certain services may require deposits, laboratory fees, government fees, shipping fees, travel fees, ORI fees, processing fees, or third-party fees. All fees are subject to change without notice.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for: • Providing accurate information • Providing valid identification • Providing correct agency instructions • Providing correct ORI information when applicable • Reviewing appointment details before booking • Reviewing agency requirements before service Rhode Island Fingerprinting is not responsible for incorrect information supplied by the client.
Fingerprinting Services
Rhode Island Fingerprinting provides fingerprint collection services. We do not guarantee: • Agency acceptance • Background check outcomes • Employment approval • Licensing approval • Immigration approval • Processing times Fingerprint quality may be affected by factors outside our control.
Card Scan Services
Card scan services are subject to fingerprint quality review. Submission of a fingerprint card or PDF scan does not guarantee: • Successful electronic conversion • Agency acceptance • Third-party acceptance • Electronic submission eligibility Clients remain responsible for providing accurate information and required documentation.
DNA Testing Services
DNA testing services are subject to laboratory requirements, chain-of-custody requirements, viability review, and testing eligibility. Rhode Island Fingerprinting does not guarantee: • DNA recovery • Relationship outcomes • Laboratory conclusions • Testing eligibility DNA testing results are produced by the laboratory.
Unusual DNA Sample Testing
Unusual DNA samples require laboratory viability review. Submission of an unusual sample does not guarantee: • DNA recovery • Testing eligibility • Relationship determination • Successful DNA profile development Deceased individual testing may require chain-of-custody procedures and Next of Kin authorization.
Apostille & Notary Services
Rhode Island Fingerprinting assists with document preparation and coordination services. We do not issue apostilles and cannot control processing times, government agency decisions, or document acceptance decisions. Notarial services are performed according to Rhode Island law.
Compliance Services
DOT and non-DOT collection services are provided according to applicable procedures. Employers remain responsible for: • Policy administration • Regulatory compliance • MRO services • DER responsibilities • Program management Services provided do not constitute legal, regulatory, or employment advice.
Mobile Services
Mobile services are subject to scheduling, travel conditions, weather, safety considerations, and service area limitations. Travel fees may apply. Service availability may vary.
Refund Policy
Completed services are generally non-refundable. Laboratory fees, government fees, processing fees, shipping fees, ORI fees, travel fees, and third-party fees are generally non-refundable. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rhode Island Fingerprinting shall not be liable for: • Agency decisions • Licensing decisions • Employment decisions • Immigration decisions • Government processing delays • Laboratory delays • Mail carrier delays • Third-party delays • Data submitted by clients Any liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service at issue.
Privacy

Changes To These Terms
